Brandywine hosts Eddies, Mustangs

Brandywine hosted a three-way Lakeland Conference cross country meet Monday afternoon, welcoming Edwardsburg and River Valley.
River Valley swept the boys' competition, beating Edwardsburg 21-37 and Brandywine 15-50. Edwardsburg beat Brandywine 15-50.
Steve Terry of River Valley was the overall winner of the boys' race with a time of 17:51. James Greenfield was Edwardsburg's top finisher, in second place overall with a time of 17:58. Brandywine's John Farrell came in third at 18:24.
Edwardsburg swept the girls' competition, beating both Brandywine and River Valley by scores of 15-50. Brandywine and River Valley did not have full teams.
Edwardsburg's Emily Gunn was the overall winner of the girls' race with a time of 22:32. Brandywine's Caylin Garrard finished second at 24:24. Joan Hillman was River Valley's top runner with a ninth-place finish in a time of 25:58.
