City Police say they have several leads in Friday’s bank robbery

NILES -- Police say they have several good leads in the ongoing investigation of the Fifth Third Bank robbery that took place in Niles on Friday afternoon.
He said police have received several good leads over the weekend which investigators are currently working on.
The bank, located at 322 Broadway St., only a short distance away from the city police station, was robbed at 4:54 p.m.
A Niles City Police Department press release issued on Friday after the robbery, said the suspect demanded money from the cashier and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash.
No weapon was displayed and there were no physical injuries reported from the incident.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned, black male, 6'2 to 6'5 tall, and thin, around 190 lbs.
The suspect was allegedly wearing a tan or khaki colored jacket and a grey knit hat with cream colored designs on the hat during the robbery.
If any of the leads pan out, Merriman hopes police will know more about the robbery by the end of this week.
The Niles City Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating this crime.

In other police activity:
Amber Renee Kozlowski, 28, 507 Maple St., Niles, was arrested after police officers were dispatched to that address on a report of an ongoing disturbance taking place at the house, the police report said.
Upon arrival, the officers were advised by dispatch that Kozlowski had a warrant out from Niles City Police Department for her arrest.
Kozlowski was arrested at the scene of the disturbance on a misdemeanor warrant for alleged larceny of cable service.
She was booked and lodged at the Niles City Police Department with a $5,000 bond for her other warrant, also for larceny.
John Kevin Schafer, 22, 813 S. Park St., Kalamazoo, was arrested after officers were assigned to a property incident accident at Main and 12th Street, the police report said.
Schafer, who was driving the vehicle, was allegedly driving with a suspended license.
Schafer was arrested and transported to the Niles City Police Department jail pending a $100 bond.
Lonce Woods, 25, 609, N. Front St., Apt. No. D, Niles, was arrested after police officers observed Woods in the area of Sixth and Cass Streets.
The officers allegedly knew Woods from previous contact and knew he didn't have a valid driver's license.
Woods was arrested and transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged.
