Ranger kickers blanked by Bucks

The Buchanan varsity soccer team cruised to a 10-0 Lakeland Conference victory over Cassopolis Monday evening.
The Bucks scored six goals in the first 12 minutes of the game and led 8-0 at halftime. It took Buchanan just seven minutes in the second half to score twice more and end the game.
Jon Peel and Matt Ganus each scored three times for Buchanan. Doug Summers scored twice and Chris Cecco scored once. Cassopolis accounted for the 10th score with an own goal.
Cecco had three assists. Josh Wahlstrom had a pair of assists and one save while in goal for the Bucks. Jose Gonzales had one assist and one save in goal. Fadzai Kangira also had an assist.
Buchanan had 10 shots on goal while Cassopolis took just two shots on goal. Teddy Luangasa had one save for the Rangers.
Buchanan, now 6-5-3 overall and 5-0-1 in league play, travels to Sturgis tonight. Cassopolis is 0-8-1 on the year.
