NILES -- A number of factors could have deterred the Brandywine varsity tennis team Wednesday afternoon, but the Bobcats held together for an 8-0 non-conference victory over Eau Claire.
The Bobcats, now 8-3 on the year, played with a new lineup due to the school's powderpuff football game. When Eau Claire arrived late, the meet was switched from three-set matches to eight-game pro sets.
Jenny Zellman, Jenny Cowen, Bethany Daniel and Amy Konopinski each won singles matches for Brandywine.
The Bobcat doubles teams of Christine Dvorak and Amanda Hancock, Kristin Peters and Courtney Schlutt, Amy Sipocz and Melissa Buzzard and Samantha Quartuccio and Erin Fuson were also flawless.
