Your Dowagiac Daily News will be sporting a new look Monday.
This is the first substantial change in the Daily News' appearance since Jan. 15, 1996.
The redesign process began in May during the Dowagiac Dogwood Fine Arts Festival.
We hope you welcome our new look, which replaces the longtime Times text with an easier-to-read font, Utopia.
Another feature of our new format we think readers will appreciate is a return to a daily opinion page, instead of an editorial page three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Our new "flag" features the 1908 Sailors and Soldiers Civil War monument in Burke Park, which has become a welcoming entryway to our community.
To us it symbolizes a Grand Old City which is mindful of its rich heritage even while progressing and planning a bold vision for the future of Dowagiac.
It welcomes you to a new era in the 106-year history of this community-oriented newspaper.
