St. Joseph sweeps Berrien County meet

The Niles cross country teams made a strong showing at Saturday's Berrien County Cross Country Meet, held at Brandywine High School.
The Niles girls finished third and the boys finished fourth.
St. Joseph won both the boys and girls overall titles.
For the Niles girls, Elle Glueckert and Tami Madision each finished in the Top 25. Glueckert was 13th overall with a time of 24:29 and Madison came in 24th at 26:19.
Seven Niles boys made the Top 25, led by Trevor Taylor in 15th place at 18:31. Charles Nelson came in 16th with a time of 18:43. Austin Neilson finished 19th overall at 18:56. Logan Todd came in 20th at 19:00, Steve Scally finished 21st at 19:00, George Nelson came in 22nd at 19:02 and Josh Mann finished 25th at 19:05.
Nick Evans of Bridgman was the overall winner in the boys race with a time of 17:28. St. Joseph's Anna Burch won the girls race with her time of 20:40.
Brandywine did not field a full team in either the boys or girls races. Buchanan's boys finished eighth while the Lady Bucks did not field a full team.
