CASSOPOLIS -- Friday morning from 7 a.m.-12 noon, Sept 26, students at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. high School will participate in a Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser during Homecoming which is hoped to reduce the number of times they are asked to sell items to raise money.
The homecoming parade will be also on Friday at 1 p.m. starting at the Cass County Fairgrounds. Judging of fences decorated by classes will be done by those community members attending the game.
The Homecoming game is at 7:30 p.m. against Berrien Springs.
At the Cassopolis Public School Board meeting Monday, the board was introduced to changes planned for the District's website which can be accessed at www.remc11.k12.mi.us/cass/rbhs.
Alumni information is planned, along with the annual report, MEAP overall scores and an events calendar.
A form for building use permits will also save time for those wishing to use the school's facilities.

Bell to be dedicated
A date was set for the official dedication of the bell in front of Ross Beatty. It will be on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The bronze school bell from 1878 weighs 600 pounds. it was saved when the old high school was demolished in 1956.
The bell has been restored and donated back to the district from the alumni club.
All community members are welcome to have coffee and donuts with the administration of Ross Beatty the first Friday of the month at 8:15 a.m.
During that time they will be available to answer questions and entertain discussions. The next coffee will be on Friday, Oct. 3.
