Edwardsburg third, sixth at Berrien invitational

The Edwardsburg girls' cross country team took third at the Berrien Springs Invitational on Saturday.
The Eddies boys' team finished sixth.
Berrien Springs' fast course and cool temperatures allowed most of the Dowagiac runners to post personal bests.
Niles was the overall boy's champion with 79 points. Constantine finished second with 93 points and Paw Paw third with 116. Bridgman and Edwardsburg rounded out the top five with 127 and 144 points respectively.
Paw Paw captured the girl's portion of the event with 36 points. Lakeshore was second with 51 points and Edwardsburg third with 73. Lake Michigan Catholic and Nils were fourth and fifth with 131 and 157 points.
Tom Ray of Constantine won the boy's race with a time fo 16:43.
Kelly McCann of Lake Michigan Catholic won the girl's race with a time of 20:55.
