JV soccer team plays to a 0-0 tie

Dowagiac junior varsity soccer team played at Coldwater on Tuesday and controlled the game, but came away with a scoreless tie against the Cardinals.
Dowagiac had 13 shots on goal and 3 saves in a scoreless in the first half.
Dowagiac stepped it up the second half with 23 shots on goal, while the defense allowed no shots on goal, for a final 0-0 score.
No match Wednesday
The Dowagiac varsity tennis team made the long bus ride to Marshall on Wednesday for its crossover match against the Lady Indians for nothing.
Rain forced the match to be postponed until Monday. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
Dowagiac has also moved its crossover home match against Portage Central to Tuesday, Sept. 30. The Chieftains will compete in the Edwardsburg Invitational on Saturday.
Golf for Goods
In lieu of green fees, a donation of two non-perishable food items, a clean winter coat or unopened toy will be collected to benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Holy Maternity.
There will also be contests and prizes throughout the day. Carts are not included. Tee times will start at 8 a.m. Reservations may be made in person beginning Saturday, Sept. 20 or by phone on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The Miller family has owned and operated Indian Lake Hills for 21 years. In the first three years of collecting donations, they have collected over 1,500 non-perishable food items, 350 articles of clothing and 80 toys.
Results wanted
