Paw Paw Redskins win Brandywine tennis tourney

Paw Paw took home the title at Saturday's Brandywine Tennis Invitational.
The Redskins managed 30 points as a team, edging the host Bobcats by seven points. Dowagiac finished third with 15 points and Niles took fourth with 12 points.
Brandywine captured two first-place finishes.
At No. 3 singles, Jenny Cowen earned the title for the Bobcats. Lisa Konopinski and Kristin Peters also won the No. 2 doubles flight.
At No. 4 singles, Brandywine's Amy Konopinski finished second. Also winning second places were the No. 1 doubles team of Christine Dvorak and Bethany Daniel, the No. 3 doubles team of Amber Valentine and Ashley Valentine, and the No. 4 doubles team of Nikki Cooper and Courtney Schlutt.
Brandywine hosts Coloma today at 4 p.m. for a Lakeland Conference match at Plym Park.
