The Dowagiac junior varsity football team defeated visiting Edwardsburg Thursday night, 31-22.
Brandon McCuddy led Dowagiac with 59 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Brandon Simmons added 11 yards and two touchdowns.
Sonny Swartz was the top receiver with 22 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback David Stuppy threw for 79 yards, a touchdown and a two-point conversion.
Russell Sizemore had an interception for the Chieftains.
