Dowagiac plays Niles to a draw

NILES -- Sophomore Lisa Rubino delivered Dowagiac a 4-4 tie with Niles Monday afternoon in Big-16 Conference West Division action.
The host Lady Vikings held a 4-3 lead in the match due to a sweep of the doubles matches when Rubino took to the court for her No. 1 singles match against Niles' Beth Eisenhart.
Rubino defeated Eisenhart 6-1 and 6-1 to give Dowagiac a sweep of the singles matches and thus a draw.
Dowagiac improved to 1-5-1 with the draw and 0-1-1 in the West Divison. Niles is now 2-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the division.
