BUCHANAN -- The Niles boys' cross country team captured the Buck Classic on Saturday as it easily defeated runner-up Three Rivers.
Niles finished with 36 points compared to 61 for Three Rivers. Bronson was third with 85 points and Schoolcraft fourth with 91 points.
Edwardsburg was fifth with 106 points.
Niles' Trevor Taylor was second overall with a time of 17:57. Austin Neilson was fourth in 18:02, while George Nelson was seventh in 18:15.
Steve Scally finished 14th with a time of 18:34. Charles Nelson was 15th with a time of 18:38.
Buchanan finished seventh with a score of 205.
The Niles girls's squad finished fourth.
