The Brandywine tennis team opened its season Wednesday night with an 8-0 shutout of Lakeland Conference foe Cassopolis.

Eddies win opener
The Edwardsburg varsity soccer team improved to 3-1 on Tuesday with a 5-1 victory over Berrien Springs in a Lakeland Conference match.
The match was the first in the league for the Eddies.
Ryan Warner scored a pair of goals to lead th Eddies to victory.

Lady Rangers undefeated
The Cassopolis varsity basketball team remained undefeated Tuesday night as it knocked off host Colon, 40-36.
The Lady Rangers (3-0) trailed 13-7 after one period of play, but outscored undefeated Colon, 11-10 in the second quarter and 14-5 in the third quarter.
Both teams scored eight points in the final period.
Kelsey Gordon and Jealyn Foston scored 13 and 12 points respectively to lead the Lady Rangers.
Julie Schlabach led Colon with 13 points.

Sturgis tops Lady Eddies
A lack of scoring left the Edwardsburg varsity basketball team on the short end of a 46-21 non-conference loss to visiting Sturgis Tuesday night.
Sturgis led 15-4 after one period of play and never looked back, outscoring 11-5 in the second quarter and 16-5 in the final eight minutes.
Jessica Shotwell led the Lady Eddies (1-2) with four points. Jessica Meagu and Susanna Martino each scored three points.
