NILES -- If you want to know which teams to bet on in college football, look no further.
The Football Forecasters return to prognosticate on the 2003 college football season, picking 10 games per week each Thursday in the Niles Daily Star.
This year the Forecasters have expanded to an even dozen participants, half of which are veterans and half are new faces.
Returning from the 2002 season are Brandywine School Board member Dennis Cooper, City of Niles Director of Public Works Neil Coulston, Niles volleyball and track coach Jami Foster, Niles football coach Dave Janicki, U.S. Congressman Fred Upton, R-Mich., and Niles Daily Star sports editor Dan Weiss.
The other half of the field of 12 Football Forecasters is new to the game.
Joe Austin, Buchanan High School athletic director as well as football and track coach, joins the Forecasters for 2003.
Brandywine High School athletic director Jim Boger is also new to the field.
Niles High School tennis coach Rob Babler is another new face.
Niles High School assistant principal Molly Brawley will also be picking games each week.
Niles-Buchanan YMCA youth programs director Andre Gresham will join the bunch.
Brandywine football and softball coach Jim Myers is also a new member of the Football Forecasters for 2003.
Below are the first week of games for the 2003 season and each Forecaster's predictions.
