Niles still looking for first victory

The Niles varsity soccer team remained winless, and scoreless, as it suffered a 2-0 setback at Berrien Springs Monday night.
The Vikings, now 0-3 overall, were called for nine off-sides violations Monday night.
Niles was not without its opportunities to score, taking eight shots and five on goal. Berrien Springs (1-0) managed seven shots, four of which were on goal.
Cory Coquillard had three saves in goal for the Vikings.
Robbie Schadt scored both goals for the Shamrocks. He scored on a penalty kick 18 minutes into the game and then scored again in the second half on a cross from Muny Musvosvi to end the game's scoring.
Niles returns to action Wednesday night at home against Sturgis at 6 p.m.
