CASSOPOLIS -- The recovery of four stolen vehicles at a residence on Carberry Road in Howard Township was reported Friday by Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr.
The stolen vehicles were obtained recently by suspects, the sheriff said.
Deputies responded to the residence to investigate fraud complaints involving the passing of fraudulent checks.
During that investigation, deputies recovered a Bobcat tractor and three motorcycles.
The Bobcat and two of the motorcycles had been fraudulently obtained from two businesses in the Edwardsburg area.
The other motorcycle was stolen from Elkhart, Ind., according to the sheriff, who withheld the arrested suspect's name pending arraignment. The suspect was lodged in the Cass County Jail.
