Buchanan tennis takes second at MCC

Last Saturday the Buchanan tennis team opened its season at the Muskegon Catholic Central Invitational.
The Lady Bucks finished second with 16 points, just four shy of Parchment's 20. Grand Rapids Baptist finished third with seven points and Catholic Central took fourth with five.
Buchanan won medals in six of the eight flights.
The Buchanan No. 1 doubles team of Chelsea Ghatoaura and Tracy Brelowski finshed first.
The Buchanan No. 4 doubles team of Nicole Moyer and Katrina Weldy also took first place.
No. 3 doubles players Hannah Flood and Megan Vylonis took second place in their flight, as did the No. 2 doubles team of Felicia Lotsbaich and Lizzy Thornton.
Jaclyn Mummaw, at No. 2 singles, and Ashley Shepherd, at No. 1 singles, each took first place in their respective flights.
Brittany Harrington finished third at No. 3 singles as did Tara Linville at No. 4 singles.
Buchanan travels to Three Rivers today for a dual match before taking part in the South Haven Tournament on Saturday.
