Mills leads Gators with three firsts at conference meet

Niles-Buchanan YMCA Gators swim team member Emily Mills brought home three first place finishes from the Summer Conference Meet held July 26 at LaPorte, Ind., High School.
Mills broke the Conference record for the 25-meter Freestyle. She also swam the 25-meter Butterfly, and the 25-meter Backstroke.
Caitlin Dippo competed in the Women's 9-10 year-old division and won fifth place in the 100-meter Freestyle, third place in the 50-meter Breaststroke, and seventh in the 100-meter Individual Medley.
Ian Dippo won second place in the 100-meter Freestyle, fourth place in the 50-meter Breaststroke, and third place in the 50-meter Freestyle. Dippo competes in the Men's 11-12 year-old category.
Allie Fuller earned a sixth place finish in the Women's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle, a fifth place finish in the 25-meter Breaststroke, and in the Women's 7-8 category, won 11th place in the 25-meter Freestyle.
Spencer Fuller competed in the Men's 6-and-under 25-meter Backstroke and 25-meter Freestyle, winning third place in both events. He also competed in the Men's 8-and-under 25-meter Breaststroke and won eighth place.
Competing in the Women's 9-10 year-old category, Taylor Fuller won seventh place in the 50-meter Butterfly, sixth place in the 50-meter Breaststroke, and 100-meter Individual Medley.
Jason Furst won sixth place in the Men's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle, and in the Men's 6-and-under 25-meter Freestyle, and won fifth place in the Men's 6-and-under 25-meter Backstroke.
Amanda Harlow captured first place finishes in the Women's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle, and 100-meter Individual Medley. She also won fourth place in the Women's 7-8 25-meter Backstroke.
As a competitor in the Women's 11-12 year-old category, Emily Harlow won fifth place in the 50-meter Backstroke, ninth place in the 50-meter Breaststroke, and third place in the 100-meter Individual Medley.
Evan Harlow won third place in the 100-meter Freestyle, and 50-meter Backstroke. He also won fifth place in the 50-meter Freestyle. He competes in the Men's 9-10 year-old category.
Bri King won 10th place in the Women's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle, ninth place in the Women's 7-8 year-old 25-meter Backstroke, and 12th place in the 25-meter Freestyle.
In the Women's age 9-10 year-old category, Hayley Kirby won sixth place in the 50-meter Backstroke, fifth place in the 50-meter Breaststroke, and seventh place in the 50-meter Freestyle.
Carsten McCarty competed in the Men's 9-10 year-old division and took home sixth place in the 100-meter Freestyle, seventh place in the 50-meter Backstroke, and eighth place in the 50-meter Freestyle.
Lindsey McCarty had impressive first place finishes in two of her events. She won first place in both the 100-meter Freestyle and 50-meter Backstroke. In addition, she won a third place in the 50-meter Freestyle. She competed in the Women's 11-12 year-old division.
James Norris won eighth place finishes in his three events: the Men's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle, Men's 6-and-under 25-meter Backstroke and 25-meter Freestyle.
Bekah Polega competed in the Women's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle and won 11th place. She competed in the Women's 6-and-under 25-meter Backstroke and 25-meter Freestyle and won fifth place in both events.
Erin Polega won eighth place in the Women's 8-and-under 50-meter Freestyle, fifth place in the 25-meter Butterfly and in the Women's 7-8 category, a 10th place in the 25-meter Freestyle.
As a competitor in the Women's 9-10 year-old division, Sarah Polega won fifth place in the 50-meter Butterfly, 11th place in the 50-meter Backstroke and 10th place in the 50-meter Freestyle.
T.J. Polega, competing in the Men's 9-10 year-old category, won first place in the 50-meter Backstroke, second place in the 50-meter Freestlye and fourth place in the 100-meter Individual Medley.
In the Women's age 11-12 year-old category, Carlee Rankel won sixth place in both the 50-meter Butterfly and 100-meter Individual Medley. She also won eighth place in the 50-meter Breaststroke.
Kelsey Rankle competed in the Women's 9-10 year-old category and won 10th place in the 100-meter Freestyle, 15th in the 50-meter Backstroke and 14th in the 50-meter Freestyle.
Michael Rattenbury won sixth place in the 100-meter Freestyle, and 50-meter Freestyle. He won a third place in the 100-meter Individual Medley. Michael competes in the Men's 11-12 year-old category.
In the 11-12 year-old women's division, Brooke Roberts won fourth place in the 50-meter Butterfly, third place in the 50-meter Breaststroke and second place in the 100-meter Individual Medley.
Tiffany Roberts competed in the Women's 15-and-Over category and won second place in both the 100-meter Backstroke and 100-meter Breaststroke. She also won third place in the 50-meter Freestyle.
Scott Snyder took fourth place finishes in the Men's 13-14 year-old 100-meter Backstroke, 100-meter Breaststroke, and 50-meter Freestyle.
