Campbell and Beers each went 2-for-3. McLaughlin and Fillwock each had doubles.

Even though the Howard All-Stars suffered a loss and took second place, their spirits remained high as the team, coaches and fans were awarded with the sportsmanship award.
The team experienced a few misfortunes during the tournament but never gave up.
Coach Larry McLaughlin would like to credit team members Tyler Fisher, Fillwock, Reed, Luke Fifer, Harpenau and Langmeyer with their outstanding play in the outfield as all of these kids played the infield during their regular season play. Grishaber also did an outstanding job at catcher which was a new position for him. Dallas Munger played an awesome first base which really held the infield defense together. Coach McLaughlin would also like to give credit to Beers, McLaughlin, Webber and Campbell for their outstanding defense in the infield.
He would also like to thank the parents and fans for all of their support.
