Taylor Davis of Niles is one of the top motocross riders in the country.
Davis recently qualified for the Amateur Motocross Nationals at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Hills, Tenn., which will be held Aug. 4-9.
Currently leading the Super Series between Red Bud in Buchanan, Dutch Sport Park in Bloomingdale and Log Road in Coldwater, Davis will be riding in the 65cc 7-9 year-old class and the 85cc 7-11 modified bike class at the Nationals.
Davis is also currently winning the state points standings in the 65cc and 85cc classes.
Qualifying for Nationals is an honor few riders share. Only 40 riders in each class qualify, even though many riders from many countries and states try to do so.
Besides his success in the sport of motocross, Davis is also enjoying a successful academic career as he finished the fourth grade on the honor roll.
Davis would like to thank God for keeping him safe, Moose Racing, B&S Trucking of Niles, IBID County Electric, Mark's Place, Weisner Suspension and Frese Discount. He also sends out a big thank you to Uncle Bill and the rest of his family.
