Greens outlast Royals

The Greens captured the Senior League championship with this one-run victory in extra innings.
Isaiah Beckman picked up the pitching victory for the Greens.
Chris Singleton took the loss for the Royals.
Brooks Bonner paced the Greens at the plate with a triple and two singles for five RBIs. Aaron Holy hit a home run while Beckman helped himself with two singles. Beckman also scored the winning run.
Chad Rohacs paced the Royals with a home run and a double for three RBIs. Casey Hood and Ryne Dowling each had two singles while Chris Stratton hit a single.
Dodgers….12
Rangers……2
Ryan Wetzel allowed just two hits and struck out four batters as he earned the victory for the Dodgers, advancing them to the Prep League championship game.
Jason Fryman took the loss for the Rangers.
Luis Del Muro led the Dodgers at the plate with a doube and a single. Jared Kabara and Luciano Villegas each added a single.
Casey Wirick and Andre White each sihngled for the Rangers.
Astros….23
Expos……6
The Astros earned a spot in the Prep League championship game with this runaway victory.
John Rosol earned the win for the Astros as he allowed just one hit. Trevor Ernsberger took the loss for the Expos.
Jake Harris was 4-for-4 at the plate with a triple and three RBIs to lead the Astros. Joshua Boyd added a double and a single while Dillon Ferenczi hit three singles.
Sean Gordon hit two singles to lead the Expos.
Yankees….7
Indians……6
Monty Ort picked up the pitching victory for the Yankees as they earned a spot in the Junior League championship game. Landon Coleman took the loss for the Indians.
Ort led the Yankees at the plate with two singles, a double and a triple. John Stapleton added three hits with three RBIs. Eric Rush had two hits wheil Kevin Curran, Kevin Ostrowski and Billy Siderits each singled.
Bryce Coleman and Mat Peters led the Indians with three singles and two RBIs apiece. Landon Coleman hit a double while Chad Nichols and Matt Duckett each singled.
Cubs….10
Giants….5
The Cubs earned a spot in the Junior League championship game with this victory.
D.J. Elrod earned the pitching victory with four strikeouts. Derek Smith took the loss for the Giants.
Mike Laylin led the Cubs with three hits and three RBIs. Elrod, Josh Teeter and Ryan Laylin each added two hits.
Johnathan Rothfuchs, Justin Henry and Andrew Mysliwiec led the Giants with a single and a double each.
