CASSOPOLIS -- When their sister in a state of undress came on their television screen, instead of cartoons, it must have been quite a shock.
The children showed their mother, who confronted her boyfriend.
Though David Edward Pulliam, 39, 104 Terre Coupe St., Buchanan, grabbed the tape and ran, destroying it, he was soon arrested by the Michigan State Police.
A search turned up another video.
He received three concurrent sentences to the Michigan Department of Corrections for two counts Criminal Sexual Conduct, receiving four years to 15 years and one count of child sex abuse materials, receiving two years to seven years. He had two days credit.
He is to pay a $60 DNA fee and $60 to the Crime Victim's Fund.
When arrested, he also gave false statements to the police, Dodge said. Symonds was put on probation for two years.
He was sentenced to the Cass County Jail for 270 days, with credit for four days.
He is to pay probation fees, a $60 DNA fee, $60 to the Crime Victims' Fund, and $450 court costs. His license was revoked.
It was admitted that the girl thought "having sex was a game," and was already "sexually advanced," Dodge said.
To his benefit, Landrum's attorney, James Champion of Portage said the young man realized it was wrong the second time it happened and wanted to stop.
For child abuse in the third degree, Landrum received a sentence of straight probation of 18 months. He is to pay probation fees, a $60 DNA fee, $60 to the Crime Victims' Fund, $450 court costs and a $350 fine.
