Derek Smith picked up the victory for the Giants as he struck out nine batters, gave up just four hits and walked one batter in the complete-game effort.
Tim Hardy took the loss for the Yankees.
Austin Hinz hit two singles for the Giants and scored the game's only run. Andrew Mysliwiec and Smith each doubled while Justin Henry added a single.
Kevin Ostrowski, Kevin Curran, Bobby Thornton and Monty Ort each singled for the Yankees.

Danny Lynch earned the victory on the mound for the Cubs.
Justin Henry took the loss for the Giants despite striking out five batters.
Lynch helped his own cause with three hits and one RBI. Mike Laylin, D.J. Elrod and Josh Teeter each had two hits and scored twice. Dustin Anderson, Steven Woefel and Ryan Laylin each added singles.

Ryan Wetzel struck out three batters on his way to the pitching victory for the Dodgers, which scored nine runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to break open the game.
Sean Gordon took the loss on the mound for the Expos.
Dustin Zimmerman led the Dodgers with five hits and six RBIs. Alex Lindzy, Luis DelMuro and Wetzel each had three hits and combined to score 10 runs. Nick Hartman, Jared Kabara and Justin Stroud had two hits apiece while Tracy Keck hit a single.
Alex Withorn had the only hit of the game for the Expos.
