State tourneys start today at FYP

NILES -- The Brandywine Cal Ripken Jr. Babe Ruth Baseball League will be busy this weekend.
Only three of its own teams will be in action at Firemen's Youth Park, but it will be hosting three State Tournament simultaneously today, Saturday, Sunday and possibly Monday.
The league will use its own field and, at times, one of the Niles-Brandywine Girls Softball Association fields to hold the Michigan 10-year-old, 11-year-old and 12-year-old State Tournaments.
The tournament kicks off today with a 10-year-old game at 4:30 p.m. and the last possible game is set for some time on Monday.
Four teams will take part in the 10-year-old tournament including Brandywine, Lansing, Clinton Valley and L'anse Cruse.
Brandywine, L'anse Cruse and Clinton Valley will play in the 11-year-old tournament.
The 12-year-old tournament will include Brandywine, Benton Harbor, Clinton Valley and L'anse Cruse.
There is a $1 admission fee the tournaments.
Here is the complete schedule for all three tournaments:
10-year-olds
Friday
A: Lansing vs. Clinton Valley – 4:30 p.m.
B: Brandywine vs. L'anse Cruse – 9 p.m.
Saturday
C: Winner A vs. Winner B – 11 a.m.
D: Loser A vs. Loser B – 1:30 p.m.
E: Loser C vs. Winner D – 3:45 p.m.
Sunday
F: Winner C vs. Winner E – 1:30 p.m.
G: Winner F vs. Loser F – 3:45 p.m. (if necessary)
11-year-olds
Friday
A: Brandywine vs. L'anse Cruse – 6:45 p.m.
Saturday
B: Clinton Valley vs. Winner A – 1:30 p.m.
C: Clinton Valley vs. Loser A – 6 p.m.
Sunday
D: (2-0) team vs. (1-1) team or (1-1) team vs. (1-1) team – 9 a.m.
E: Bye team vs. Winner D – 1:30 p.m.
12-year-olds
Saturday
A: Brandywine vs. Benton Harbor – 9 a.m.
B: Clinton Valley vs. L'anse Cruse – 11:15 a.m.
C: Loser A vs. Loser B – 3:45 p.m.
D: Winner A vs. Winner B – 8:15 p.m.
Sunday
E: Loser C vs. Winner D – 11:15 a.m.
F: Winner C vs. Winner E – 3:45 p.m.
Monday
G: Winner F vs. Loser F – TBD (if necessary)
