CASSOPOLIS -- All these years we have been feeling sorry for poor little Goldilocks and her encounter with Papa, Mama, and Baby Bear in their home in the forest.
Now you can hear and see the Bear family's version of what really happened at the Barn Swallow Theatre on Hospital Street in Cassopolis in "The Trial of Goldilocks."
Maybe it was a case of breaking and entering and vandalism to their home. Was Goldilocks guilt or innocent?
Was the young girl a selfish spoiled brat, intruding where she didn't belong? Or was she the victim of three conniving bears and their animal band of hoods in the woods?
The judge and jury bring a surprising verdict and unique sentence to this charming musical and beloved fairy tale.
There are 17 children in the production of The Trial of Goldilocks from throughout the Michiana area.
Libretto and music for this play are by Joseph Robinette and Robert Chauls. The play is directed by Laura Maddox.
