The 2003 Division 4 State Champion Buchanan High School boys' tennis team and the 2002 Lakeland Conference Champion Buchanan girls' tennis team made an investment in their futures recently.
Run through the Buchanan Area Recreation Department, the 16th annual summer tennis camp was another huge success.
Under the direction of camp director Steve Bender and assistant directors Sean Jesse and Cuppy Mace, the two-week camp emphasized skill development, strategy and sportsmanship.
This year's camp set an attendance record as 58 campers in grades 2-5 and 29 campers in grades 6-8 attended.
Working the camp were 18 high school players from the Buchanan boys' and girls' teams.
