Niles man wanted on warrant tries to escape from police custody

NILES -- A man was arrested in Niles Tuesday pending charges of an alleged parole violation and escaping court.
Craig Wayne Ogle Jr., 34, Four Flags Hotel, Apt No. 409, Niles, was arrested after police officers received information a person staying at the hotel had a valid warrant for his arrest, the police report said.
The officers went to Apt. No. 409, but before they were able to get into the apartment, Ogle allegedly jumped through the window in an attempt to escape.
Officers were later able to apprehend Ogle, who was later transported to the Niles City Police Department.
Ogle was booked and lodged with a $5,000 bond.
In other police reports:
Adam Wade Smith, 26, 222 Market St. No. 3, Niles, was pulled over on Fourth and Broadway streets because he was allegedly not wearing a seat belt, the police report said.
Smith was arrested and booked and lodged at the Niles City Police Department with a $300 bond.
Billy Jo Holmes, 23, 1022 Cedar St. No. 1, Niles, was arrested after police officers were called to a domestic in progress at the above mentioned address, the police report said.
Witnesses to the assault stated Holmes was allegedly beating his girlfriend.
Officers arrested Holmes and transported him to the Niles City Police Department, where he was booked and lodged.
Holmes was given no bond.
