Colin Latislaw struck out six batters in two innings of work on the mound for the Red Sox. Brendon Nichols took the loss for the Diamondbacks.
Dylan King led the Red Sox at the plate with two singles.
Bradley Millin paced the Diamondbacks at the plate with two singles. Nichols added a single.
The victory earned the Red Sox a spot in the Minor League World Series against the Cardinals. The two will play the first of the best-of-three series tonight at 6 p.m.
The Major League World Series also starts tonight between the Reds and the Yankees. That game is at 8 p.m.
Bluejays….13
Giants………4
The Rookie League World Series started Thursday night with this game.
Evan Hartman paced the Bluejays with a triple and a single. Ryan Derrick added a double and a single while Casey Messacar added two singles.
Blake King led the Giants with a triple and a single. Logan Ortiz added two singles.

Kelli Zache struck out eight batters in earning the victory for Rifenberg. Aliesha Ranft struck out four in relief.
Jennifer York took the loss for Moose with relief help from Kaloni York and Keriann Sears.
Nicole Ignowski led Rifenberg at the plate with a double and a triple. Kayla Stanage, Sarah Pollard, Zache, Ranft, Mallory Barber, Missy Blake and Lindsey Bailey each added a single.
Lindsey Ross, Zoe Richards, Stephanee Schrader and York each hit a single for Moose.

D.J. Elrod earned the victory for the Cubs as he struck out 10 batters and allowed just two hits. James Conners took the loss for the Reds.
Mike Laylin led the Cubs with three hits and three runs scored. Josh Teeter added two singles while Stephan Banicki, Elrod, Ryan Laylin and Ryan McCormick each hit a single.
Conners led the Reds at the plate with two hits. He also scored both runs for the Reds.

Landon Coleman picked up the pitching victory for the Indians. Ryan Hartman took the loss for the Reds.
Jason Duis paced the Indians at the plate with two singles and one RBI. Landon Coleman hit a two-RBI double while Bryce Coleman, Chad Nichols, Jake House and Jonathan Poole each singled.
Keith Bouwkamp led the Reds with a double, a single and two RBIs. Hartman added a single.
South Bend….14
Niles Greens….0
Bubby Carnes took the loss for the Greens in this Senior League contest.
South Bend peppered the Greens with 12 hits, including three home runs. Everyone on the team scored at least once.
The Greens did not manage a single hit.

Hood, Chad Rohacs and Chris Singleton each hit a home run for the Royals. Pat Curran, John Watson and Rick Morrison each added a single.

Chris Carpenter picked up the victory for the Grays and Kory Bridges took the loss for the Greens.
John Kessick paced the Grays with a home run and a single. Matt Carlson added two triples.
Bubby Carnes and Dan Klute each hit a home run for the Greens. Matt Tanke added a double and two singles.
