Registration for the 2003 Fall Baseball League will be held Friday at F.O.P. Little League Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The fall league program is open to players from Niles, Niles Township, Buchanan and Howard Township between the ages of 6-12. The program is designed to give players an opportunity to continue involvement in baseball activities after the regular season is over. The fall season runs from Aug. 17 through Oct. 17.
Games will be played Sunday through Thursday so as not to interfere with high school or Rocket football games. The league will be run on a show-up-and-play situation to prevent interference with football practices.
There are no tryouts for the fall league. Teams will be divided evenly by age. The players' ages are determined by the Aug. 1 cutoff date. The age groups for league play are 6-8 year-olds with a pitching machine; 9-10 year-olds with live pitching; and 11-12 year-olds with live pitching.
The cost per player is $35. The cost for two siblings is $55 and a family will pay no more than $65.
Registration forms are available at F.O.P. Park.
