Niles seniors welcome 7 teams

NILES -- Thomas Stadium and Buchanan High School will host an eight-team tournament this weekend as the Greater Niles Babe Ruth League stages the 2003 Niles Classic beginning Friday at 1 p.m.
Four games will be played at Thomas Stadium to kick off the annual tournament, which is for teams in e 16-19 year-old division.
On Saturday, the tournament will take place at Thomas Stadium and at Buchanan High School.
Finally, on Sunday there will be four playoff games at Thomas Stadium with the title game set for 6 p.m.
As a special bonus for fans and players alike, there will be Port-a-Pit chicken for sale on Saturday at Thomas Stadium.
The Niles All-Stars will play their first tournament game Friday at 8:30 p.m. against the Blues. Niles plays at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday as well.

Post 161 vs. Chips – 12:30 p.m.

Niles vs. Post 50 – 5:30 p.m.
