NILES -- Brandywine's varsity softball team went undefeated for the second straight year in the Lakeland Conference, and the league's coaches showed their respect for the Bobcats in voting for the All-Conference teams.
Brandywine landed five players on the All-Conference First Team and head coach Jim Myers was named the Coach of the Year.
Brandywine catcher Michelle Shoemaker, pitcher Nicki McGowen, infielders Lauren Heyn and Nakisha Washington and outfielder Jessica Keeton each made the First Team.
Buchanan, which went 9-3 in league play, landed three players on the First Team. Infielder Tiffany Griffin, outfielder Lindsay Colip and Player at Large Ali Bender each made the list.
Coloma pitcher Abby Gire, River Valley infielder Alison Smith and Berrien Springs outfielder Andria Murdock also made the All-Conference First Team.
The squad was selected by the Lakeland Conference coaches. No coach is allowed to vote for his own player.
