NILES -- A man was arrested in Niles Monday, pending charges for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon.
James Walter Darby, 51, 1222 N. Ninth St., Niles was arrested after officers were dispatched to that location on an unwanted person complaint, the police report said.
Prior to arrival, the officers were advised Darby had left on foot, allegedly with a handgun.
The officers located Darby on Fifth Street and found the concealed weapon.
Darby was transported to the Niles City Police Department.
He was booked and lodged with no bond.

Robert Andrew Jackson, 52, 807 N. Ridgeway, Sepula, was pulled over for changing traffic lanes without signalling, the police report said.
Officers allegedly detected signs of intoxication when they made contact with Jackson.
Jackson was placed under arrest and transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged with a $200 after nine hours.
Ronald Leland Waldo, 18, 422 W. Main St., Niles, was arrested after he allegedly broke the phone line for communication to prevent his girlfriend from contacting the police, the police report said.
Waldo was transported to the Niles City Police Department and lodged with no bond.
George Louis Neidlinger, 40, 2615 N. US 31, lot 50, Niles, was involved in a non-injury vehicle accident on Fifth and Main streets, the police report said.
Police arrested him for driving with a license revoked.
Neidlinger was booked and lodged pending a $500 arraignment.
David John Wood, 36, 2739 Paul St., Niles, was arrested pending charges after he was caught on radar, allegedly travelling 54 mph in a 30 mph zone, the police report said.
Wood, based on the breath test, was over the legal limit for driving.
Wood was lodged at the Niles Police Department with a $200 bond after an eight-hour hold for intoxication.
