Crash 2-1 at tourney

During a Special District 2 Tournament Primley's Crash traveled to Kalamazoo Eastwood's Park picking up two wins and one loss.
In their first game the Crash defeated Decatur's Special Lite 25-9 in four innings.
Starting pitcher Tasia Diaz faced nine batters, striking out one, walked four and allowed two hits.
Ending pitcher Joanna Pickar faced 16 batters, striking out three, walked three and allowed seven hits. Assisting with the put outs defensively were Haley Davis, Sierra Starret and Rebecca Mattix. Offensively, Diaz went 4-for-5 with two singles, two doubles and an RBI. Katie Wood went 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs. Alex Dean went 3-for-5 with two singles, a double and 5 RBIs. Pickar went 2-for-5 with a single, a double and an RBI. Marissa Tidey went 1-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Alyssa Fritz went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.
In their second game Primley's Crash defeated Mattawan 17-4.
Diaz pitched two innings with a strike out, five walks and four runs.
After this the pitchers became aggressive. Diaz faced only three batters in the second inning with two strike outs and no runs. Pickar finished the game allowing no hits as she faced nine batters with four strike outs, three walks and no runs.
Assisting with the defense were Starrett, Davis and Mattix.
For Crash's offense Diaz went 2-for-5 with a single, double and two RBIs, Wood went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs, Tidey went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Dean went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Fritz went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
In the semi-final game Primley's Crash met Eastland Bowl and lost 20-15 in five innings.
Pitching were Diaz, Pickar, Brooke Means and Emily Primley. Combined the pitchers allowed only one hit, struck out 12 batters and walked 24.
The Crash went down swinging. Diaz went 1-for-4 with a single, Wood went 3-for-4 with a single, double, triple and an RBI and Dean went 2-for-4 with a single and double.
Minor League Division
In Little League Minor boys play Dowagiac's Imperial Furniture defeated Decatur 22-14.
Pitching for Dowagiac were Craig Zebell who struck out two and allowed eight runs. John Carey struck out two and allowed no runs.
Ryne Willming struck out three, allowed two hits and a run. Ryan Bassett and Eric Charles combining in the fifth inning to finish the game struck out two, walked three and allowed five runs.
Willming went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI, Zebell went 3-for-4 with three singles and an RBI.
Jason Turner went 3-for-4 with two singles, a double and three RBIs. Carey went 3-for-4 with three doubles.
Tyler Dean went 3-for-4 with a single, two doubles and an RBI. Bassett went 1-for-4 with a single. CJ Davis went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI. Charles went 1-for-4 with a single and two RBIs.
Brandon Pearce, Thomas Creameans and Zac Huff all went 1-for-3 with singles.
