DUHS trio looking for state titles

Senior J.J. White, sophomore Ashley Urbanski and junior Devon Jackson will travel to Caledonia High School on Saturday to compete in the Division 2 State Track and Field Championships.
White will compete in three events, while Jackson will compete in two and Urbanski one.
White will compete in the 110-meter high hurdles, the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and the long jump.
Jackson will compete in the 100- and 200-meters.
Urbanski will compete in the 200-meters. She just missed qualifying in the 100-meters and long jump.
White, a regional champion in the long jump and 300-meter hurdles, will bring in the second longest jump from regional competition. White won the event with a leap of 21-8.5. Justin Hoskins, a junior from Grand Rapids Creston, has the jump coming into the meet at 22-8.5.
White also has the second fastest time in the 300 hurdles at 39.54. Kevin Davis, a senior from Famington Hills Harrison, has the fastest time at 39.48. White's time in the 110-meter hurdles is 17th fastest.
Jackson's time in the 100 is 28th fastest, while his time in the 200-meters is 19th fastest.
Urbanski's time in the 200 is 14th fastest at 26.40. The fastest time is 24.5.
