46th annual Rotary Track Meet tonight at Benton Harbor High School

Area track standouts get one more chance to shine before the state finals this coming weekend.
The 46th annual Rotary Track and Field Meet will be held today at Benton Harbor's Filstrup Field.
The field events and running preliminaries begin at 4:30 p.m., with the running finals slated for 6:30 p.m. The open 5K run is set for 5 p.m.
The annual Rotary Meet gives runners and field events specialists from both large and small schools a chance to compete against each other.
It also provides many of the state qualifiers a chance to tune up one last time before Saturday.
Rotary Scholarships
Three $2,000 college scholarships will be awarded again to area track and field athletes during the annual Rotary Meet. Begun in 1977, a total of 59 Rotary Meet scholarships have been given.
Golf outing June 6
The Crime Stoppers 2003 Golf Outing is set for Friday, June 6 at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course.
The outing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
There is a division for men, women and mixed couples.
The entry fee is $240 per four person team. Entry information and payment must be received by May 30. Send names, addresses for team members to the Golf Connection Inc., 1986 S. Valleyview Drive, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
Rum Village Run
Rum Village Park in South Bend, Ind., will be hosting a series of fun runs throughout the upcoming summer months. On Tuesday, June 24, a four-mile and 1.4-mile race will be held at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, July 8, a three-mile and 2K race will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Division 3 soccer
The Dowagiac varsity soccer team advanced to the Division 3 District Tournament semifinals on Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over Allegan Monday night in the opening round at Vicksburg High School.
The win advances Dowagiac against Three Rivers at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Vicksburg.
In the other half of the bracket, the host Lady Bulldogs blanked South Haven, 5-0, to advance to Wednesday's semifinals against Paw Paw.
That match will be played at 8 p.m.
The championship match at Vicksburg will be held on Friday at 7 p.m.
Hillary Bisnett and Jami Lutz scored the goals for the Chieftains, while Brittany Covault had the lone goal for Allegan.
Stephanie Cooper picked up the win in goal for the Chieftains.
Dowagiac and Allegan had played to a 0-0 draw earlier in the year. Dowagiac played without Bisnett in that contest and lost leading scoring Danielle Boyd half way through the match with a broken finger.
Vicksburg got goals from Anna Polasek, Alysse Thomas, Stephanie Andrews, Stacy Averill and Kali Barrow to advance to the semifinals.
Janessa Wadell recorded the shut out for the Lady Bulldogs.
