Brandywine closes in on .500 with 11-0 win

The Brandywine varsity baseball team moved to within one game of an even record with an 11-0 win over Fennville Wednesday afternoon.
The Bobcats, now 13-14 on the year, needed just five innings to dismiss the visiting Blackhawks.
Kory Bridges earned his seventh pitching victory of the season by allowing just two hits and striking out five as he went the distance.
Matt Koller and Billy Syrette led the Bobcats at the plate with three hits, including a double, each . Casey Udell and Josh Atwood also doubled for the Bobcats.
Brandywine returns to action Saturday as it takes part in the Penn (Ind.) Tournament, a three-day event.
