Legion gearing up for Memorial Day Parade

NILES -- The Niles LaRue Messenger Post 26 of the American Legion will sponsor the city's Memorial Day Parade on Monday.
Parade lineup will begin at 9:15 a.m. that day on North State Street and West Main Street in front of the YMCA on State Street.
The Parade line-up order is as follows:
Late applications for the Parade will be accommodated.
The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. and will make its way up Main Street to the Silverbrook Cemetery, where the annual Memorial Day ceremony will be held following the Parade.
In addition to the parade, a service will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday at Calvary Cemetery, Niles, on Chicago Road.
During the parade, veterans will place a wreath in the river, a wreath at City Hall, as well as a wreath at the Veterans' Circle in Silverbrook Cemetery, where the memorial service will be held.
Also, services will be held at Mission Hills Cemetery, north of Niles, on Sunday at 11 a.m.
