St. Joseph proved why it is the No. 9 ranked team in Division 2 and the favorite to win the Big-16 Conference West Division championship on Tuesday as it swept visiting Dowagiac, 10-0 and 16-1.
The first game lasted only five innings, while the second game went four innings.
The losses were the first for the Chieftains since back in April when Dowagiac was swept by River Valley.
Dowagiac is now 16-5 overall and 2-2 in the West Division.
