A pair of solo home runs proved to be the only scoring plays for Brandywine as it edged Coloma 2-0 in the first game of a Lakeland Conference doubleheader Monday afternoon.
Another home run was part of the Bobcats' offense which scored five unanswered runs for a wider margin in the second game.
Michelle Shoemaker homered in the second inning and Nakisha Washington homered in the sixth inning to give Brandywine its 2-0 advantage in the opening game.
Nicki McGowen earned the pitching victory and gave up just three hits to the visiting Comets.
Jessica Keeton paced Brandywine in the second game with her home run. Lauren Heyn added three singles.
McGowen again earned the victory, boosting her record to 21-2, with a one-hitter.
The Bobcats, now 22-2 overall and 8-0 in league play, travel to Buchanan Thursday afternoon for another Lakeland Conference doubleheader.
