Dowagiac seventh at Three Rivers

The Dowagiac varsity track team finished seventh at the Three Rivers Invitational on Friday.
The host Wildcats won the meet with 88.5 points, while Lakeshore was second with 82 points.
Dowagiac finished with 27 points.
Senior J.J. White won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 40.41.
White was also a part of Dowagiac's winning 400-meter relay team which was clocked at 45.01. Also on that squad were Elijah Caldwell, Kyle Bennett and Devon Jackson.
Dowagiac took second in the long jump relay as White, Aaron Jackson and Freddy Soto combined for a distance of 55-2.5.
Bennett was fourth in the pole vault relay with a height of 11-6.
Dowagiac took third in the boy/girl relay with a time of 1:47.12.
That unit was made up of Ashley Urbanski, Ann O'Keefe, Caldwell and Devon Jackson.
Dowagiac's girls tied for 11th place.
St. Joseph won the meet with 93 points. Battle Creek Lakeview was second with 72.
Dowagiac's pole vault relay team of O'Keefe and Alysse Cutbhert finished fifth with a height of 15-3.
O'Keefe set another school record with her jump of 9-3.
