The Dowagiac varsity tennis team took nearly 10 days to get its second win of the season.
The Chieftains finished off a match against Eau Claire Monday afternoon which was halted by rain.
Dowagiac (2-4) ended up with a 7-1 victory over the visiting Beavers.
Dowagiac won three out of the four singles matches and then swept the doubles flights to earn the victory.
Again, the Chieftains will not have long to savor this win because they return to action today when they travel to Brandywine for a non-conference match which is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Dowagiac will continue its busy week on Wednesday when it hosts Battle Creek Harper Creek.
