The Niles Optimist Club will hold its Optimist Tri-Star Soccer Skills Contest on Sunday, May 4, at Ballard Elementary School from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The contest is free to boys and girls ages 8-12 and will include skills contests in throw-ins, dribbling and shooting.
Participants must wear soft-soled shoes; no spikes, cleats or special kicking shoes will be allowed.
Awards will be handed out around 3:30 p.m.
