EHS tennis team romps past Dowagiac Chieftains, 7-1

After having its last two matches rain shortened and rained out, the Dowagiac varsity tennis team braved cold and windy conditions to take on visiting Edwardsburg Tuesday afternoon.
The Eddies defeated Dowagiac 7-1 in non-conference match play.

Football tryouts
The Michiana Grizzlies, a full contact men's football team, will hold tryouts Saturday at Cassopolis High School at noon. Players should bring cleats and running shoes. There is a $20 tryout fee which is applied to the regular player fee. Anyone interested in playing, but unable to attend the tryout should contact Jim Boger at Brandywine High School at (269) 683-4800, ext. 27.
Collectible show
Michigan Lure Collectors Association's second annual Antique Fishing Tackle and Sporting Collectible Show will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The show will be held at American Legion Post 365, located at 25751 US 12 in Edwardsburg across from Lunker's Sporting Goods.
The public is invited. Cost is $3 with spouse and children getting in for free.
Free tackle and sporting collectible appraisals will be available. There will be an auction of collectibles during the show time.
