The Dowagiac junior varsity soccer team blanked visiting Niles Wednesday afternoon, 3-0, to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Chieftains opened the scoring in the fifth minute as Jordan Markham scored with an assist from Angela Owsiany.
Owsiany then made it 2-0 with three minutes remaining in the first half .
Dowagiac capped the scoring in the 47th minute was Markham collected her second goal.
The Chieftains finished with nine shots on goal against the Lady Vikings.
On Tuesday the Chieftains dropped their first match of the season as host St. Joseph scored a 2-0 victory.
The Lady Bears led 1-0 at halftime adn then added an insurance goal in the 57th minute.
Dowagiac goalkeeper Kelly Garland had a busy evening as she stopped 20 shots on goal.
The Chieftains managed only four shots.
