Hope women topple Albion

ALBION -- The Flying Dutch opened MIAA dual meet competition with a 115.5-33.5 victory over Albion on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch captured first place in 16-of-18 events.
Hope had two triple winners. Junior Christy Watkin won the long jump (17-2 3/4), 100 dash (:12.85) and 200 dash (:26.71) while sophomore Emily Schlitz was the winner in the shotput (37-0), discus (101-6) and javelin (109-9).
Other Hope winners were Maureen Warfield, high jump (4-4); Laura Borovsky, pole vault (8-6); Allison Trotter, triple jump (32-9.5); Chris Alcenius, 3,000 steeplechase (12:10.3); Kristen Post, 1,500 run (5:13.5); Allison Pawlowski, 100 hurdles (:17.7); Brooke Oosting, 400 dash (1:02.19); Holli Cooper, 800 run (2:24.64) and Julie King, 5,000 run (20:44.8).
Dowagiac's Angela Saxton was second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:42.52. Saxton finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.5
