2003 NCAA title bouts set for this week

The National Collegiate Athletic Association will crown two Division I national basketball champions this week.
The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament culminates tonight in New Orleans, La., as Kansas takes on Syracuse in the championship bout at 9:22 p.m. That game will be televised on CBS.
The NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament will come to a close Tuesday night in Atlanta, Ga., as Connecticut and Tennessee square off in the title game. Tipoff for that game is set for 8:37 p.m. and it will be televised on ESPN.
Kansas reached the title game with a 94-61 blowout of Marquette in Saturday's semifinals. Syracuse beat Texas 95-84 Saturday to advance to tonight's championship game.
Kansas is a No. 2 seed while Syracuse is a No. 3 seed.
Kansas has won two national titles, but none under current head coach Roy Williams. Syracuse, along with head coach Jim Boeheim, is still looking for its first national title in men's basketball.
In the women's tournament, Connecticut edged Texas 71-69 in Sunday's semifinal round. Tennessee beat Duke 66-56 to reach the title game.
Tennessee and Connecticut are both No. 1 seeds.
Connecticut is the defending NCAA Women's National Champion. The Huskies have won the NCAA Tournament three times. Tennessee has won six national championships.
