Individual game tickets for the 2003 South Bend Silver Hawks season went on sale Saturday at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium.
Tickets will be available for every home game on the Silver Hawks' schedule including Opening Night April 11 versus the Lansing Lugnuts, the 4th Annual Scout Camp Out on June 13, the Fourth of July Fireworks celebration July 1-4 and Fan Appreciation Day on September 1.
This season's daily promotions include the popular ABC 57 Dollar Mondays ($1 tickets, $1 hot dogs, $1 Pepsi, $1 beer); Pepsi Wednesdays, presented by WSBT Radio Group (buy one ticket, get one free with a Pepsi proof of purchase); South Bend Tribune 5 for $5 Saturdays (check the paper for your coupon for a ticket, hot dog, Pepsi, snack and program for only $5); and silverhawks.com Sunday (log on for savings on tickets, concessions or souvenirs).
New this season are All Faiths Night Tuesdays ($2 off for church groups or families with a church bulletin); Thirsty Thursdays presented by Budweiser and WB 25 ($1 beer specials in the Budweiser Bullpen Bar &Grille and post-game concerts every Thursday starting June 12), and Meijer Family Fun Fridays (stop by Meijer for a coupon for four tickets, four hot dogs, four Pepsi drinks, four snacks and a program for $24).
Also, this season marks the 13th annual Pops at The Cove with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. Join the orchestra on Saturday, Aug. 23, for a night of great music and pre-concert entertainment by the Robert Henry Orchestra.
The Silver Hawks begin their season on April 3 in Lansing against the Lugnuts with the first pitch set for 7 p.m. The Silver Hawks Exhibition Game vs. Bethel College is set for April 2 at Bill Nixon Field at Centennial Park in Plymouth at 6 p.m. Fan Fest 2003 is Thursday, April 10, at the Riverside Terrace in Mishawaka from 5-7 p.m. and features the opportunity to meet the entire team, win raffle prizes and participate in a youth clinic at 6 p.m. The first 300 fans will receive a free hot dog and soft drinks.
