NILES -- As is usually the case, the Buchanan tennis team will again host the Division 4 Regional Tournament on May 16 at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind.
The Bucks, ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll, are the three-time defending Regional champions and will no doubt be looking to make it four in a row.
Buchanan finished fourth at the state finals last season and did it without a senior in the starting lineup. This year may be the Bucks' best chance to make a serious run at the state title.
Buchanan will welcome nine other teams to the Division 4 Regional Tournament, including Berrien Springs, Brandywine, Cassopolis, Coloma, Eau Claire, Edwardsburg, Kalamazoo Christiam, Parchment and Lake Michigan Catholic.
The Niles boys tennis team will have to travel to Allegan for its Division 3 Regional Tournament on May 16.
The Vikings will be joined by the host Tigers, Dowagiac, Hamilton, Mattawan, Otsego, Paw Paw, Plainwell, South Haven, St. Joseph and Lakeshore.
