Tyler Honda dealership breaks ground Thursday

A commemorative groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday to coincide with the start of the construction of a new 20,000-square-foot Honda dealership.

Tyler Honda, located in Benton Charter Township, has awarded the design and construction of its new dealership to Pearson Construction Company of Benton Harbor. The new facility will be located at 4356 Red Arrow Highway, just north of the new Meijer store and will incorporate Honda’s new brand image for its dealerships.

TERA Architect, Pearson’s in-housed architectural firm, has coordinated the design to comply with Honda standards to properly reflect the new brand image, now in its third generation. The project is scheduled for completion in December of this year.

“We have been planning this dealership for over a year now,” said Chris Tyler, owner of Tyler Honda, “and once we located the property on Red Arrow Highway this winter, we were ready to move forward with this project.”

The company was founded in 1969 by Tim Tyler and his partner, Terry Linville.
